The Dainka Effect — How This Works
Building our shared world
We are building an interactive novel about a band formed in 2002, a story that follows every high, every low, every mistake, and the defining moments of these kids. What the band ultimately becomes is not decided by us alone. It is shaped by you, the people who choose to join us on this journey.
Contributions and ownership
Anyone can submit stories to become part of their world. By sending us your story, you agree that we can use, adapt, and publish it as part of the project. We may slightly adjust details to fit the overarching storyline, but the core idea will always remain yours.
Keeping it fair and giving back
This project exists because people choose to contribute to it. To keep things fair, a percentage of the project’s profit is donated every month. As we reach bigger milestones in the story, this percentage increases.
Each month, we select a few organizations, and contributors who have submitted a story can vote on which one receives the donation. Only those who have submitted a story can vote. At the end of the month, the selected organization receives the support, and all donations will be openly displayed in the Donations section of our website.
How stories are selected
As long as we can manage it, we aim to create content from every submitted story. However, this is a passion project alongside our everyday work and life. If submissions grow beyond what we can handle, we will switch to a system where one or occasionally two stories are selected and brought to life each week.
Story continuity
We encourage everyone to stay close to the established storyline. Our goal is to build a living, breathing world together. Not everything has to be perfectly realistic, but it must feel like it belongs to this universe. We might make minor modifications to submitted stories for the sake of consistency, but these changes are made solely to protect the shared world we are building.
Content boundaries
We do not want to be restrictive, but we do protect our characters and the tone of the project. Only tasteful stories that fit the concept will be published.
Images and privacy
If you submit photos for character generation, they will be deleted immediately after use. We do not store original images. Only the AI-generated result may be kept and used, and only with your explicit permission.
Milestones
Each part of the story contains hidden milestones. Reaching them gives the band the momentum they need to move forward on their journey. These milestones will not be explicitly stated, you will have to discover them within the story itself.
This is our passion project
We do this because we want to tell the stories and express the emotions we could not share before. If you decide to support us, you can, but the goal of this project is not money. The goal is to build a real, shared fantasy together.
